Anyone been watching this? it's about immigrants to ireland and how they're getting on after the recession etc. last nights episode was very sad, followed a man whose wife had been killed in iraq, he had fled to ireland and was trying to become an irish citizen. he was separated from his daughter who was still in iraq. Another episode followed the brazilians in Gort.

Yeah, I've seen a few episodes alright. I thought last nights was particularly moving though. I was relieved when he got his papers. Really nice man who's been through a lot.

Yes just highlights the problems with the Irish immigration system. Girl who has her mother, father and brother(irish born) and cousin living here can't get a Visa while we have any amount of Chinese language "students" on student visas whose entire language training consists of working in the Irish service industry while there language school collects the cheques. I hope following publicity from the programme some of our TDs helped secure the girls Visa.

Yeah I was delighted for him as well, especially as he can be reunited with his daughter. I wish him all the best in the future.
