    I really like the ikea range and I think this TV (Ikea built) is fantastic, its on my list !

    It's all very well for Ikea to be all arty farty and introduce a B&W TV because they think it it is retro and trendy, but I personally would still prefer colour.

    flatscreens are not nearly mature enough for this kind of thing yet. All the key players hold all the key patents , and even those have problems with the tech depending on which unit you go for. There is a considerable difference between all of those sets , all have their own proprietary scaling chipsets and features and every single one them require some additional setting up out of the box as few of them are properly set to rec 709.

    So selling a flatscreen bolted to a piece of furniture like this , and making claims like " its as good as any other TV out there " , well , you just know this is going to be like all those other no name brands , crap ! Overpriced crap at that , these days you can get a seriously good Branded TV for that kind of money.
