NCT - Identification requirement

I'm bringing my wife's car to get the NCT check tomorrow. I've checked the requirements to make sure I have all paper work etc ready and noticed the following
"Please ensure you bring identification (Driving licence or Passport only) with you as you will be asked to produce this when presenting your vehicle for inspection at the test
centre. From 1st May 2012, failure to produce the required identification will result in your vehicle not being issued an NCT certificate at the time of testing."

Does this mean I need to bring my wife's ID with me? The car is registered in her name.
    thanks

No, it's to ID the presenter, not the owner.
