Might be interested if it was possible to drop in for a day or two?

    Jesus Christ, 250 euro ?
The accommodation and 3 course meal options on offer are cheaper than the course itself O.o
I'm sure it'll be fantastic and all but seriously, 250 euro for 5 days ?
Couldn't see any discounts for kids either.

I suppose in their defense and thinking about it a little, they have to pay the guys, rent the place out and poxy insurance costs I guess too.
Just seems an awful lot, even the 150 euro for 2 day option.

Pricey alright but I suppose it works out the same as the Linguafit camp last year which was €50 for one evening which Huizinga and Iliadis were at, Huizinga and Burton had some nice ne waza alright. Anyway saving all my pennies for London in July so I won't be going, might be a nice chance for some people to meet Iliadis who is going for gold in July.

Personnaly I don't have that kind of money to spend on a camp.

    I won't be going.

I'd kill to go if I had the money. I know a few others who are going.

I haven't got the money myself at the minute to attend this but I hope its a success the more things like this available the better.

As far as price is concerned, it is expensive but as I'm sure anyone who has organised any sort of event will testify, the costs of organising anything in this country are still very high. But I suppose if you break it down €50 per day is reasonable enough...if you had the money obviously :)

I'd love to meet Iliadis, and to say you took grips with him would be legendary in the future.

Honestly if I had the few bob I'd do the five days, but I don't and I won't

Was there last year, for the night class, was good, pricey at 50Eur but sure got a randori with iliadis, Which is nice to say I have done,

Put wont be going this year, just cant justify the money, But anyone who is thinking, but not sure do it, especially if you a cadet or junior, or young senior

    Any reports?..

I'm hearing there's been a huge attendence. I'm planning on going down for a viewing this afternoon.

It's pretty good so far. Iliadis had us doing these massive cross-grip tai-otoshis that left me fairly battered.

Very international crowd. There's even guys who flew in from America to train here.

I thought myself that people would travel from other countries for it having read the website. Its great to have such an event in Ireland that you might have a realistic chance of going to if you could gather that money rather than having to pay for accommodation and flights to travel abroad to attend.

I hope it's being a great success and they continue to have it in Ireland for years to come.

Was it organised by an Irish group?

What grades attended, was it mostly Dan grades?

Did you feel you got much out of it?

I've been meaning to write a decent reply to this, but I haven't had a chance. So I'll just give a brief answer for now.

I believe it is organised by an Irish group.

There were a lot of kids, but among the adults it was mainly dan grades, some browns and a few blues. I definitely felt a bit out of place as a 30 year old green-belt.

I think I got a few insights. Probably would have gotten a lot more if I was a more advanced student. €150 is a lot of money to spend on two days' training, so I don't know if I can call it a bargain, but I don't feel like I wasted the money either. Last time I went to a big seminar, I think it was a year before the stuff I was taught started to come together, so I'll have to see how this goes.

My friend who also went said that if nothing else, it's really made him determined to train hard, start re-organising work so he can make more sessions and focus on getting better.
