Any runners out there with weak kidneys..?

    A couple years ago I had kidney stone trouble for a few months and eventually had to get some of the bigger ones removed surgically.

    They were a long time coming around to normal function but day to day now is fine.. However, if i let myself get a little bit dehydrated during a run, one or the other kidney will tighten up a LOT and fear of that feeling from the past makes me stop immediately and BOMB the water into me to let it flow into the kidneys as quickly as possible.

    I try to stay as hydrated as my stomach can handle but sometimes it's not enough.. My question, have any of you guys a similar issue to mine and how do you combat it or have you ever kept going through the discomfort to see what happens? (dumb 2nd part of the question I know but i'm curious)

    This only happens when I'm running btw

    Hey,

    I had a Kidney operation a few years ago and get this tightness too. not so much when running though, get it if im on the sauce a lot or if i have a couple f protein shakes! I just drink **** loads of water and it keeps it ok, pain in the ass when im running or cycling cause i always need to use the can
