Ledley King has been released and is as such retiring according to SSN. Pity, great player just so unlucky with injury.

Keith Andrews on the WBA released list!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭1mcampo1

    Danny Murphy?

Here's a list of the expiring contracts for this year and any other year. Some quality players for next year for sure. Utd need to tie up Nani, Rafael and Welbeck.

Dembele from Fulham is expiring next year.

Also Junior Hoiletts contract is up, who'll he go with. Very exciting player imo.

Louis Sahas contract is also up, why was he only signed on a 6 month contract?

List of expiring contracts (2012 + any other year)

Thought Hoilett was a free agent from today?

Edit: Just noticed him on the retained list with him listed as having received an offer.

So we have 3 players in our Euro squad without a club. Andrews, O'Dea and Green.

They took the one year extension option they had so he can't leave on a free.

I see Fletcher is there as well!

Because he has another year on his contract?

Jussi Jaaskelainen could do a good job for some club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,416 ✭✭✭Jimmy Iovine

Didn't realise that Saha is without a club. If he could stay fit he'd be a great signing. Unfotunately, I doubt there's much chance of that happening.

Danny Guthrie should be snapped up, good player this season.

Cole & Lampard to, but I'd expect them to sign extensions.

Not sure about Sturridge though, with Hazard, Hulk, Marin coming in his time could be very limited.

As far as I know Lovenkrands and Guthrie are available on a free... The latter will be snapped up easily. Pity he's not getting a contract but has looked excellent anytime he's been called upon last season. His passing range is exceptional.

Tchoyi from West Brom would be worth a punt. Hasn't played a lot but he bloody terrorised us on our promotion season.... the bastard. :pac:

Ferrie Bodde is a quality player, just destroyed by injury. It'll be interesting to see if someone takes a chance on him.

Those players are on the retain lists.

what kind of wages would Kalou be looking for? I'm sure most teams would snap him up in a heartbeat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

Is Newcastle's Folan Caleb Folan who was capped by us a few times?

Klasnic would be a decent signing for any mid table team, the rest aren't up to much (besides the likes of Drogba,Kalou,Bosingwa etc)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

No, Caleb Folan was released by Birmingham (where he did not play a single minute) in the last few weeks after a short term contract.

I'd say it's probably Stephen Folan, Irish underage international from Galway.

Decent Championship side in all those players.

Pogrebynak would be a nice little signing.

How much did Fulham pay for Pogrebnyak? He has scored 6 goals in 12 league games, why are they releasing him?

Blackburn: Aley, Goulon, Grella, Knowles, Salgado

Finally getting rid of Grella. About 5 years too late.

Ferguson let Darren off to Wolves though all those years ago too. Fergie Jr will get him back someday by knocking united out of the cup maybe even with Peterborough :)
