Anyone got any recommendations for a satellite box for me? I'm looking for a fta HD box. I want the ability to edit the channels via usb and software. I do not want to have to edit the channels by the remote control.

I had a look at the eagleboxes, spiderboxes but they don't appear to have any channel editing software.

    Thanks in advance.

The Ferguson Ariva 120 combo does HD and Saorview and channel editors are available:

Also anytime something changes on 28.2 someone puts out a new config file.

I suppose it depends on what your needs are. A non combo HD box would be cheaper. Do you want dual tuner for recording? Does it need to have a card slot? Does it need to do motorised dishes, do you want it to be able to decode 7 day TV guide from Freesat or Sky (via a plug in/patch)?

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a basic HD box that allows me to edit the channels on a pc. Configuring channels via the remote control will be the end of me !
This appears to be one option as Xoro bundle a channel editor application:
    Xoro HRC 9000 Combo Receiver

I don't however need the combo option as all I want is Astra 19.2. If I could get a HD box withour the combo option hopefully at half the price.

    This HD box would work:

They seem to provide a channel list for it. Not sure if the channel editor is free or any good.

If it's 19.2 only you should ask in foreign satellite. Be clear on what you want. It seems to be

    Cheap
    HD DVB-S2
    For 19.2 only
    No recording
    No diseqc multi LNB/motorised setup
    Not PC based
    With channel list software
A review from an owner or recommendation

You should also consider that it's best to get a popular 19.2 model as then others release the channel list for you, saving you the need to juggle channels yourself.

thanks. That Xoro can backup and restore your customised channel list on the Xoro 8530 but you can't edit them. You can only edit them using the remote control.

I might ask in the foreign sat as you suggested however my query applies equally to both foreign and fta recievers.
