The NTA is a fairly new organisation and will take time to find their feet.

While they are getting themselves bedded down I think it might be helpful to point out mistakes/areas to be improved on their website.

I'll start off with this, taken from the website today.

[QUOTE=NTA, Integration Projects section, in Summer 2012[/QUOTE]
The National Transport Authority helps people use public transport more easily in their day-to-day lives by providing real time arrival information and the Leap card to pay for journeys in the Greater Dublin Area across bus, rail, DART and Luas.
We are working on a Journey Planner, which will help people plan trips anywhere in Ireland using any form of public transport. This will be launched by summer 2010.

Would you not be better off contacting the NTA directly with your comments rather than posting them on here?

    No.

In my experience, it's better to highlight mistakes/oversights on a website.

If you contact government organisations directly it can take a long time to get the message to the right person. And even then, because they are only dealing with an individual, they may not be too pushed about making whatever changes are needed. So it does, all in all, take a long time for the change to be made.

If you post on a suitable website, where lots of people are looking, many people become aware of the mistake/oversight, so the need to correct it is greater.

Anyway, this thread was not supposed to be about one little error. It was started in the hope that the collected body on the CT forum of boards might be able to make improvements and suggestions for the public portal of the NTA.

And it appears it has now been updated, just a number of hours after the opening post. Very efficient

What? I can now pay for all public transport in the gda with leap?
I can pay for leap journeys at rail stations?
