Yep that is true. I lived in Brittany for a few years and there are plenty of Irish and British people over there with Sky.

What part of France are you moving to?
I think some parts are more difficult to set it up but not certain on that.
In Brittany I think there are some Brit ex pats over there doing that as a business.

This could be a helpful website for you.

There's actually a section in that website for satellite Tv

Good Luck with the move :)

the one thing to be sure of is that where you move to allows you to actually errect a sat dish and that you have south facing frontage to do it!

Its a small thing but coming form Ireland where anything goes and everyone lives in detached or semi detached owner occupier houses - France may be a little different in many aspects and sometimes you can overlook things that you take for granted at home!

Hope all those nice mountains around Grenoble won't get in your way...I have watched Sky Sports in the local Irish pubs ( one of the 4 there) so should be OK.

    Bon voyage

just to warn you, a lot of channels have moved onto the very tight beamed 1N satellite. I think RTE has now moved over too. Reception will require a very large dish now for a lot of channels.

The 1N beam isn't anywhere like as restricted as that in reality.
