    Hi Folks,
Im off to Rome the week after next and i thought in an attempt to cut out some queues i would book online for pick up at whatever attraction i may go to.

My question really is about what tickets i should buy. I am going with adults and teenage kids. The tickets for nearly everything i have seen so far are broken into three categories
    - Full fare ("Intero"),
    - Reduced ("Ridotto"),
    - Complimentary ("Gratuito").

I have looked up the meaning of these and i have not gotten far. I have seen somewhere else that
    - Full fare ("Intero"),
    - EU Reduced ("Ridotto"), All European residents
    - EU Complimentary ("Gratuito"). EU Children up to 16.

I basically dont want to buy tickets online and there to be issues when i get there.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello Tank Guy
I hope I am not being cheeky asking this and no problem at all if not possible.
We are going to Rome next month and I would greatly appreciate any info/websites that you found to be useful. Or indeed any tips from your trip to Rome.
So far I have bought Lonely Planet Rome and that's it!
We are staying near Termini which I presume is within walking distance to all the major sites.
Any restaurant/bar recommendations greatly appreciated also!
Many thanks and hope you have a great time!

It's very hot in Rome in July so you'll need to wear very light clothes which in turn might cause you problems visiting religious sites like St. Peters where there is a dress policy, they don't like shorts or miniskirts above the knee and they expect some kind of sleeves on your top i.e. they don't like bare shoulders, just be warned.

Best tips for visiting Rome - wear good shoes that have been broken in, you will do a lot of walking. And don't even think about sitting at an outdoor cafe table with a view of any major tourist site, you will be royally fleeced.

In Italian cafes there are three prices, in ascending order they are: standing up at the counter, sitting down inside and sitting down outside. That's why when you walk in to a cafe the person serving will always ask you to sit down, don't take it as an order, it's an invitation which you can choose to ignore though as a tourist you probably will want to sit down.

Stay away from the guys dressed up as legionnaires outside the Coliseum, they will try to barge into your photos and then aggressively demand a tip. And especially refuse the guys touting for business for their restaurant, they pounce on tourists and encourage them to come into their restaurant and then fleece them, make your own decision after reading the outdoor menu.
