Would that work? I have an old Sky box and Dish working which I mostly use for radio.

Also have FTA Receiver which has 2 LNBs (13E, 19E ) through 4 input Diseqc, would like to put Sky though the FTA also. The Sky and FTA would not be on at the same time.

Or is there a splitter I could use and get the same result from my current single Sky LNB?

A quad LNB is probably cheaper and easier to find for a Sky dish. Just run one out to your Sky box, another to the Diseqc switch.

There's nothing stopping you having both on at once.

A sky box will not work when using a diseqc switch. Put a quad lnb on ur dish and simply run a new cable to ur sky box which u can use for the fta and radio channels.

You can then run both boxes together at the same time no problem

    Is that true?
I always thought sky could work with diseqc but it couldnt switch...it would just default to whatever is connected to port "A"?

Yes and no. If you have a multiswitch setup then yes a Sky box will simply get what's on port A and won't be able to select port B.

However in this case the OP has a 4 port DiSEqC switch with one output connected to a free to air receiver. The OP then wants to add 28.2 to this DiSEqC switch. I assume now two ports on the DiSEqC switch are unused.

The easiest way is to add a quad LNB to 28.2 and feed the FTA box via the DiSEqC switch from a spare connection on the 28.2 LNB.

You could achieve a bodged solution with a mechanical switch to physically swap over cables or you could use a dioded splitter making sure one box was always off but I would not recommend it.
