My sister is looking for a car kit for her birthday.
Just looking through the obvious places like Halfords and likes, whats the best bang for buck out there at the moment? Would like to keep it under €100.

She drives an Almera, I take it its much better to have a hard-wired kit than the little speaker-phone jobbies. Unless there's any decent models of the latter variety out there?

I won't be there to install a hard-wired kit, but i'm sure her boyfriend could look after it, he knows his stuff.

    Thanks!

    Kit for phones?
    What's the budget?

Parrot is often recommended on here.

    Sorry, it's late.

<100, ok that's the MKi9200 out the window.
Perhaps a cheaper Parrot would suit?
    Check out on youtube.

When I worked in CPW we did one of those car kits that clipped onto your visor. Can't remember the brand right now. €79 and you could either use the built in speaker or stream it to your car speakers with the FM transmitter. Handy piece of kit, no hassle installing or anything.

Some radios have bluetooth and phone capabilities built in but unless its a crappy Lidl radio, it won't be under €100... :(

Oi! I have one of those "crappy" units a few years now and not a bother.
It automatically streams my calls and my music to the stereo from my phone.
    And USB and CD.
All for €69, pretty good value I'd say.

    Hi Voodoo,

I just took my MKI9200 out recently as i have installed an OEM touchscreen system. Its in perfect nick with zero issues. If you can stretch to 120 then its yours. Was just about to advertise it. bearing in mind that price is because your motors member. they fetch alot more.

    http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_561667_langId_-1_categoryId_261854

Think it was that one, cost me €89.99 though.

Ive used those before, the sound quality is good on them , but the voice menus are irritating, and the mini USB connector you charge them with has a tendancy to break , but if your any use with a soldering iron that can be sorted

Was for my sister, so no clue. I fiddled round with it for 15 minutes, decent enough piece of kit.
