It is my understanding that Blanchardstown do a free Cisco course within the 4 year degree Computing course and its free!!

Is this available in the Tallaght IT and more importantly is it free? I was at a interview today and a lady said they do send students to Blanchardstown to do the course but I never found out if its free?

    Thanks
    D.

Ah well, was kinda looking for an answer before 12pm tonight as the change of mind part of the CAO ends at midnight. Im split between Blanch and Tallaght.

I was very impressed with the Cisco course in Blanch, not sure if Tallaght do it and for free!!

Time will tell what offers I get.....:D

In Computing you will do Networking which uses all Cisco hardware and software, and I'm pretty sure you can get the Cisco degree.

In 2nd year you do Networking but essentially it isn't really CISCO as such, pass rate for CISCO exams at 85% in Computing in ITT the CA's you sit are the CISCO ones but the pass rate is just the normal 40%.

We were told we could sit the Cisco exam this summer for €250 or something, based on the course material we studied. So no, I don't think its free at all.

I'm a 3rd year electronic engineering and we do the CCNA as a module, we can be registered onto cisco academy and do the exam free.
