I normally wear medium tshirt, so a couple of months ago got a medium size bicycleline jersey, that was fine, so then I ordered a medium sized Fox jersey of wiggle as well, and it was too small :(
which reminds me, gotta try flog it one of the days, might take a pic and put it up here.....

so anyways, before I go signing up to any more tour de burrens, ring of kerrys, or getting any more jerseys, can anyone tell me, for a 70g, medium fit tshirt, 5ft 9 fella, what does one recommend I chance next, medium or large?!?

    Honestly.............no-one knows :D

Seriously, I have jerseys ranging from Medium to XL that fit me, and just as many that I've had to return because they didn't.

If you get a brand that you like, the sizing should remain consistent.

    As a rule of thumb....

Aldi and Lidl stuff is waaay larger than its stated size. Also, any of the Italian brands tend to be the opposite. After that, perhaps read previous purchasers reviews and they will usually give some indication in their review if the sizing is seriously out of kilter......

Measure your chest and buy based on your size in inches or cms. It's not always accurate but its better than going on S/M/L.

Agreed - Campagnolo and Santini are undersized IMO so either get into a shop to try on before buying online or if your a medium go for a large etc.

I'm around the same size and take a XL in santini and L in Vermarc jerseys.

Italian gear Is at least one size smaller and sometimes two; I'm normally an M in jerseys (if such a thing exists) which translates as an L in a Santini.

The Spin jersey I got at a sportive last year seem to be true to size, as do the boards jerseys.

Even within the same brand you can never know whether an M is really an M, so you just have to 'suck it and see', as they say.

I bought a Primal Wear jersey (I know, I know...) and ordered based on my physical measurements against their sizing chart. Let's just say the jersey was a perfect fit...for a 15 year old me!
