What would happen if you got caught at the age of 18 driving with only the provisional license, no tax, no nct and no insurance?

Serious answer? Court for a start. Hefty fine. Banned from the roads for a few years, and when your ban is expired, unbelieveably expensive Insurance for about a decade.

A court summons and a few charges.

it would bode bad for you, at just 18 starting out in life, you dont need to have a conviction against you when searching for a job, hard enough to get them with a conviction,
is the car belonging to you or the parents,
and if you should injure someone without insurance the rest of us would be paying your costs, it is one of the reasons our insurances go up.

Fine would be plus of a thousand anyway. Ban for a year or so if it's your first offence. Forget going to the US/Oz for a while.

Also if it's your parents' car you either have to say you stole it and be charged with theft or they'll suffer serious consequences too - Large fine/possible ban/conviction on their record.

And on rethinking - possible jail time if the Judge is in a bad mood, and everyone you know thinking you're a complete and utter moron for the rest of your life. Plus, your name in the papers with the Court case too. And that'll be Googleable for the rest of your life too. Every time you apply for a job, someone'll Google you and it'll come up.

Are you for real? You're only 18, don't f*ck up your future through stupidity.

Get a lift/taxi. Not that hard if you can't afford tax/NCT/insurance
