Anyone know if there's any facelift due for the Scirocco for 2013?

    Can't find much through google.

From reading around I believe there will be slight changes to the interior switchgear like there are in the Passats now. They already upgraded these about 18 moths ago but are doing so again. I don't think the looks are changing. It's a pity they dont bring in the 160bhp 1.4 here.

Was wondering more on the outside of the car, surely there's a facelift of some form due?

Don't think VW have ever really done anything noticeable bar a little colour coding. The most radical I seem to remember was when they did the Passat in 2001.

I'd imagin there is some sort of overhaul to happen in the next 12 months as the Scirocco is based on the MkV/VI Golf platform and uses alot of it's switchgear. With the MkVII Golf going into production before the end of the year using an all new platform, I think anything using the existing platform is on borrowed time.

My father is changing next year, hence the cause for concern. Think it would be silly to buy one that's the same, when he has the nicest colour combo (imo) and there'll only be about 20,000 kms on it.

I would wait. It came out a few years after the Golf and as it is barely run in I would wait for a new model. A tidy, low mileage car in a good colour will always sell in a few years.

Yeah, there are a few people qued up to buy it off him, same happened his Passat the last time, 27,000 kms after four years.

i'd buy it off him if it wasn't petrol.

    Diesel Scirocco eek :(

2.0 TSI would be so much more fun

Afaik it's the slightly more powerful MK6 engine, wonder what turbo it comes with if it gets a KO4 that would be very easy to get to 300bhp, all you need is upgraded intake a nice turbo downpipe miltek exhaust system and a remap

What are you hoping to get for the current Rocco LM? Just curious, I sold a 3 year old 2.0TDi with 70,000km recently.

Would be interesting to see the difference between a very low mileage petrol, and a low mileage diesel.

i'm not hoping to get anything for it now as he's not selling it.

My thinking now, 17-18k wouldn't be bad money for it.

At the end of the day, if you parked it in a showroom you wouldn't notice a difference. There isn't a sinner of mark on it.

All he would be doing then is just changing number plates.

MY13 production for VW's commences in week 22 (this week).

The MY13 Scirocco gains the following over the MY12 models:
    Rest Assist (fatigue detection)

Yep - that's the only change.

Nothing else of note on the VW product bulletin I got last week.

    86 Golf Mk2
    89 Sierra
    91 Vectra Base
    94 Vectra Diamond
    98 Vectra (New shape)
    01 Passat Facelift
    04 Passat |Comfortline
    06 Passat Comfortline
    10 Scirocco.

All of the above have been sweet, mint low milers. He doesn't drink or smoke or f all else but care about his cars, so the change of plate is of little concern!
