Sage Line 50 not loading

    Hi All

Sage Line 50 will not start up - it comes up with a splash screen but no more.

The user turned off the machine during windows updates which has caused this. So far I have Reinstalled OS (XP Pro) over itself, removed sage (renamed folders left behind) and reinstalled it. Uninstalled DOT net versions and reinstalled them.

It seems as if it had an effect on QuickPay also. All vesions upto 2010 will work, but 2011 and 2012 load the splash screen and then unload with nothing else.

Really want to avoid re-imaging the PC.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Many thanks

Any entry made by Sage in the computer's Event Viewer \ Application by the Sage start process?

    Hi ressem

The event log showed and event id 10000, a dcom server error when running SGlaucher.exe. I copied the program to the accounts folder and now I am getting a 'Failed to Create SG50Launcher' error when I try to start Sage.

you need to reinstall the SBDdesktop

    Hi Mr ClonFadda

I did reinstall the SBDDesktop, but sadly no joy.

I gave up trying in the end and re-imaged the machine - painful, but probably quicker than trying to figure out what was wrong.

    Thank you for your replies
