They do 10w40 and 5w30 and as far as I know, your Transit will take 5w30, semi synthetic oil.

That one is fully synthetic, would do ?

The semi synthetic will do but I'm sure fully synthetic would be fine too. There's lots of opinions on it. I'd go with the semi myself.

The fully synth is hydrocracked.. I'm not 100% sure about using it on my Diesel.

Thanks for the link to this, eur20 for four litres is a bargain and a half ! Will be stocking up.

Bought myself 12 litres, and then used my AXA Discount to get €9 discount, so ended up getting 12 litres of fully synth for €51 :D

To make things better, got a €10 voucher for spending over €50 :D:D

To make things ever better again, 5 litres of ZipWax car shampoo was half price @ €10.99. When I went to pay, it scanned as €5.99, so I bought two :D:D:D

All in all, a great days shopping!

Good spot on the Zipwax, it's showing online for this price too, bargain, I've seen this at times for in or around €20. It also says they are doing it for 3 for 2 so you could have taken another one gratis, I think you may have taken enough profits from them though, they reported a 10% drop today http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-18276593 :D

'tis still very decent oil, won't do any harm if it meets the specs and doesn't stay in there too long.

Whats the craic with this oil in halfords? I bought a couple of them the last time they were on offer, but they are all marked to a manufacturer. For ford, or for vauxhall etc. surely they can't be that different? It's going into the Saab either way.

Its all the same I would imagine.

If you look in the handbook of the Transit under oil it should give you the exact spec for the engine.
Don't put anything else into it. I go by the same principle with my CMax, some oils are the right grade and for diesel, but do not fulfill the specific norm Ford specified, so no good.
It's a lot more complicated buying oil today, the days of just chucking 10w40 into everything are well and truly gone, the oil has to specifically suit the engine.

I'm just wondering of this oil will be ok for the Legacy diesel?
Spec has it for 5W-30 but C2 or C3. I have a litre of Total Quartz ACEA C2-A5/B5 as a top up bottle.

    The Castrol though is A3 B3 B4

    Is this ok?

Have the balm and cleaner myself, bought them on the 3 for 2. Got the Tar remover too, which i'm not overly impressed with as i wanted to use it on the wheels.

Holts tar remover would be your only man there...picked up some tardis for the car and while it doesn't leave as much residue as holts I found the holts better at removing it.
