Sportsdirect + paypal "pending" order problem

    Right, so I made 2 orders through sportsdirect and paid by paypal, and I decided to cancel the orders for whatever reason. I emailed them about it, they promptly replied, and cancelled the orders no problem.

    Then I checked my bank tuesday night and noticed that the money was still not back in my account and that the 2 transactions were still pending on my paypal account, but I cant start a dispute or anything. I emailed them then that night asking for the transactions to be cancelled on paypal so I would get refunded. No reply.

    Sent them an email the next day around midday, asking again. No reply. Sent ANOTHER email the next day in the morning asking, this time they replied for ONE of the transactions, saying they have no records of this order and cannot refund me. I then replied with the paypal unique transaction number, with no reply still. Considering they replied within 2 hours for the cancellation emails, I think 12 or so hours is enough time to wait for a reply considering it says they have "24 Hour Customer Service". This crowd also has no phone number to call them with.

    So it looks like ill be left in limbo with this. I need this money back, so is there anything I can do on the paypal side to force them to cancel or anything? Any ideas guys? Cheers :o

    Pending means that this merchant is using, i guess, Authorization and capture feature. It means he didnt accept the payments yet. try to click on the details of the transactions if you can see that feature.

    A pending transaction is auto-cancelled after 30 days if the merchant did not accept the payments.

    I would advise you to recontact the merchant and give him the transaction ID you can find by clicking on the details of the transactions ;-)
