    Hi All,

Dont know if this has been asked before  but is there any one place or site to search out available masters in a particular topic which are available on a distance learning basis or the one weekend a month basis.?

I'm looking for a masters in the general area of procurement and its allied fields but when I google the topic all I get is either fulltime courses or far-away universities. I am aware of one masters in DCU but the 15k cost is a bit of a wall to climb.

    Any / all comments welcomed

you could try <http://www.findamasters.com/> or <www.postgradireland.com>
    as a starting place.
Both allow you to search for part time and distance courses the first one covers the UK also if you are going for the option of a distance course.

I don't think that you will find a search engine that will be as specific as the one you seem to be looking for. Looking for a postgrad is work in itself.
The fee seems to be in and around what a lot of postgrad courses are most are in the 7-14 K mark. Even for distance courses you are looking at ~5K a year the more technical or specified your course the more expensive it may be.

Don't be put off by the cost if its something you really want to do. Plus if its part time that cost maybe split over 2 or more years. Some courses can also allow for the completion of single modules.
Good luck with your search hope you find what you're looking for.

Thanks for that. You are definitely right on the search being a job in itself. I am looking to find one that moves my qualification up to masters level but there are so many options that dont suit that you end up wading through pages of searches and getting browned off. I have been in this particular area for most of my working life and I see the masters as being a way of proving my credentials, t'will also make me stand out from the crowd in a recruitment situation hopefully by having both the qualification and the portfolio of experience to offer a prospective employer.

    thanks again for the encouragement

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
