Can anyone suggest a nice hotel in Cork for a couple for 3 nights midweek. Would prefer a nice quiet hotel just outside the city. Would love to stay at the Hayfield Manor Hotel but its crazy money at €600:eek:

Have also looked at the Maryborough Hotel, any opinions welcome thanks!

stayed in the Montenotte hotel a while back, quick walk from town, nice hotel and great pool, don't go to the metropole hotel, rooms are tiny

Maryborough is a grand spot, stayed there a few times & a short walk down to Douglas village

Maryborough is a lovely hotel....if you want to be close to the city then I think the River Lee hotel is also lovely...nice bar on the riverside and the rooms are lovely too ( i preferred the hotels here to the ones in Maryborough)
