I got a gift of a wallet a while back and the slagging I am getting to is a little bit embarrassing. The words purse were used on a number of occasions.:pac:

So what should I look for in a wallet as I need to replace the one I have just accentually on purpose lost.

So any recommendations on a reasonable sized wallet for a few cards and a few notes.

My main 2 criteria are it has to hold at least 6 cards, and that in the main compartment there is a divider so you can keep money and things like receipts separate

Whats your budget like ? Brown Thomas in Dublin have some nice ones, but you will pay a bit for them. Have a look at some Paul Smith wallets, some of them are quite nice.

What kind of paper you making over their in Oz. If you're a big roller you should get one of those long rectangular wallets. and a top hat

If i was a high roller id have a money roll and an entourage of midget strippers but this is reality.

I hate wallets, I always find them bulky and awkward. Plus, if you loose it or it is stolen you loose everything.

    Pockets all the way guys!

This is the wallet I use. I find very handy as its compact and my two most used cards are very easy to get out.

Wallets need to be able to hold at least 6 cards, coin pocket and ones for notes.

Personally I'd be put off by the coin pocket. Too purse like IMO. Coins in my (right) pocket.

I have a Jeff Banks Wallet, got it in Debenhams in a gift set with cufflinks.

Bifold, 8 card slots. black leather, simples.

8 cards, split main compartment, genuine black leather...
Next time I'm in the market for a wallet, I will get one similar to this again but with the addition of a coin section, like this or this

Thats the favorite one I have, handmade.

I've had a fair few wallets over the years, don't like black for some reason. 6 cards are a minimum and tbh I like the coin pouches, I'm always taking the wallet out and sending coins flying without one

Weird, I came here to recommend BigSkinny wallets, and an ad for them came up on this page. Anyway, I use one, I've had it for a year, I have about 10 cards in it and a few notes. It folds very flat so goes into my pocket very easily. Fairly cheap too.

There is a bag/luggage shop on Liffey street opposite that Gaming shop. Inside they used to have a huge selection of wallets, though not sure if they still do.

I like those long ones, not sure what they're called. Hard to find a good selection in Dublin.
