Literally 20 minutes ago 3 just began to block rapidshare.

I had sites blocked previously and had the content filter lifted so this has nothing to do with that as I still have access to any sites that I could not before requesting the lift. Point being, it is the exact same occurrence accessing rapidshare now as it was with those sites, when they were blocked.

I cross checked with my housemate, also on 3, and yes, he is blocked from rapidshare also.

Does everyone else have this problem? Any other sites that have been suddenly blocked?

I know rapidshare is used for illegal downloading yadda, yadda but I use it to distribute my own music for free [music that I hold all rights to] and for personal file storage so I'm fairly annoyed.

I'll keep tabs on it to see if it changes.

Cheers, are you using a broadband stick?

I'm tethering, perhaps that might have something to do with it.

Nice theme for chrome by the way.

Yeah, I'm on a broadband only package, which have different privileges to mobile users.

Afaik, three don't allow tethering anyway, so you might want to keep that quiet >_>

theme is by Marlies Dekkers, its on the chrome store.

Yeah the broadband and mobile use a different APN AFAIK

certain things will be weird on the mobile service and yeah they frown upon tethering, but fck it tether if you wish!

    Mobile phone APN: 3ireland.ie
gives a private non internet routable IP address 10.xxx.xxx.xxx behind a NAT/Proxy server

    Broadband APN: 3internet
gives a public internet IP address in the range:
    31.200.128.0 - 31.200.191.255
    83.136.40.0 - 83.136.41.255
    92.251.128.0 - 92.251.159.255
    178.167.128.0 - 178.167.159.255
    178.167.192.0- 178.167.223.255

Use either Phone can use Broadband APN and Broadband can use the Phone APN, but you can't always change the APN on a phone.
