Is it safe to sleep in car?

    Hi there,

I would like to look for further information on the possibility of sleeping in car during the night if some place is legally safe. Should I contact Garda for some advice? In fact, it is said that sleep in car is illegal in many places. However, some places are acceptable to sleep in car during the night.

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

No, it is not in Guam. I just erased it on my location profile. I am in Ireland.

I have done it and it was fine. Depends on where you intend to park, which would have been useful info.

If you have the keys in the ignition and are over the limit, the Garda can do you. A car is a very cold place to sleep though

Technically speaking we sleep, we give rest to our entire body parts including our back when you sleep on chair or a car seat your half body part get relaxed and half not. Body parts like your legs, back and mind continually working if you are sleeping at odd places. For an instance if you are sleeping on chair your mind continually sending signals to your body parts that where you can move and where not. As a result when ever you are going to fall from chair you suddenly wake up. I suggest please avoid sleeping at places like car or chair.

10 years back two of us went on a tour around Spain for a month. And most of the time we slept in a car. It felt safer than in the tent.
No problem sleeping on a beach in a sleeping-bag. Although cleaning works started at around 6 in the morning with heavy machinery "ironing" the whole area.
