Hi.. my tyre says 700 x 23 on outside of tyre. Had a puncture last nite and need to get a spare tube for first time. My tyre is a Road tyre ... very thin - nearly slick on surface.

Without reverting to original shop.... what Tube size would I be looking at???

Sorry for 'silly' question... all part of the learning curve I am on !!

What size does the tube say?

Just follow what the tyre says, you're looking for a 700 x 23 tube, simple as that! Tubes will fit a few different sized tyres so you'll probably get something that says 700 x 19/23, that's about it!

Oh, and if you get some snotty sales assistant, have at hand that it's a presta valve so they shut up and just give you the tube.

Tube writing worn off... Can't see what it says. Got a tube today that says 700x 18/23c. Told it will do the trick.
