I've applied for a number of jobs in the last few weeks. To date, I have only got 1 reply to the 20 or so applications.

I had considered contacting the other advertisers, asking why the situation is with the applications, and feedback from them. However, I'm worried that if the process is still ongoing, contactig them might damage my chances of progressing further.

Any advice on how to go about contacting them without seeming to be too pushy? Is there a timeframe for contacting them (e.g. 10 days after the application, etc)? Also, what exactly should I ask them, if I do get through?
