Last night someone who clearly didn't have a clue what they were at, tried to nick my 98 civic. They pulled out the wrong wires, didn't get it to start, and left without taking anything, but now I can't start it and I don't know where the wires are supposed to go. Can anyone help? I can show you a photo of what they look like at the moment if someone can explain where they are supposed to go, or post a similar pic of them in the correct place it would also help

They look like Airbag wires to me but if they are what I think they should have not affect starting imo.

Cheers, seeing as you're the only one here, you don't have any idea how to get my car going do you?

Posted before I saw the second reply sorry, is there any way the immobilizer could have tripped something, or would the key fix that once I put it in and turn it? The ignition comes on( 2nd position, lights/wipers/windows/radio etc.) But 3rd position nothing happens, won't turn over, can't even hear a solenoid/relay click

Wires shorting may have flattened the battery,

The chip in the key sends a signal to a receiver maybe this receiver should be on the end of the loose wires and is missing . Looking at one in a breakers is at this stage the best option,

The key chip should be sending a signal to a receiver which may now be missing at the end of those wires
