According to a knowledgable poster on the Irish Transport Forum, it is RV356. Excellent bus when it was in Dublin anyway and the last 1997 vintage to be withdrawn if I remember correctly.

Most of the ex-Dublin Bus Olympians have been snapped up by UK private operators because they are in such good condition. They're certainly anything but wrecks.

exactly what i was thinking, cant remember those series of buses being anything other than excellent. I also, for some reason, think they look an awfull lot better than their replacement low floor bus.

so, is this PE having a go at the supplier more then anything, and is any of it true?? I have severe doubts.

I suspect it's tongue in cheek getting at Boris...

I've read the full piece in PE, and it looks like their main gripe is the company Boris has chartered the bus from, a firm based in Wimbledon.

The article details some , ahem, nteresting points about the financial affairs of people connected with the firm.
