Can you revisit those original links and post them again. You only copied the shorted version.

The game looks fairly hungry in the graphics card department, so you'd probably want to make sure that you have a dedicated card from AMD or nVidia.

Despite the graphics not being the best in Arma the worlds are massive and require decent specs to run it ,so no neither of them will run it as they both have entry level GPU's. Your need something with an i5 and at least a Gt540m/630m or equivalent AMD GPU.Though you should try for a Gt555m/635m if possible, if you want decent settings. 600 euro wont be enough I'm afraid. Your talking closer to 800.

Something like this would do nicely.

This site will give you a good idea of laptop GPU performances.

that game has very bad graphic optimization so normally you turn the quality down, AA AF up...

and yes a laptop will over heat playing it...

just tellin ye, ive invested serious hours into arma... If you spend a few hours modding it to make it run better you can run it on a Single core & 256 AGP no bother.

as for them laptops... their not Great... but they'll run it..

If you play it at the right settings for the laptop you have, there's no reason for it to overheat.

Seriously I run Metro 2033 on my laptop at the highest settings that my GPU will allow, and it doesn't even go over 65 degrees.

Even though a Core 2 Quad is one of the offiicial RECOMMENDED requirements,
a core i5 as previously mentioned is REALLY recommended.

Arma 2 is an unoptimized CPU hog, and my Q8200 is the bottleneck in my setup.

The max fps I can get is 35, and that's in fairly unpopulated environments.

In cities with lots of objects drops to about 15fps, making the game almost unplayable.

It only uses about 1 GB of Ram max also.

Here's some launch options that might help:

    -cpuCount=X -maxmem=2047

Where X is the number of cores in your CPU.

maxmem=2047 was one of the recommended setting I saw mentioned on a Wiki that I can't be arsed trying to find again.

Check out this post here for a trick that could increase performance:

Going to try that right now.
