One Parent Family Waiting Times?

    Hi everyone, just wondering of anyone has any idea of the waiting times and th process involved for One Parent Family payment in Wexford? And also if it is back dated when it is paid? myself and my partner split in december and I applied for OPFP end of Feb. if I qualify will my payment be back dated to when I became a single parent?
    Any info would be very helpful.

    Hey I was just wonering did u get your payment ??? Also did they bk date u. Ive been waiting since may :(

    If you have no other income yoi should apply to the local community welfare officer to pay you supplementary welfare as an interim

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    I cant get swa because I have a house I rent out. Even though I have a morg on it and also my own rent to pay. Its means tested differently and im up in a heap at the moment. The social welfare cant even estimate a time for me. Were u waiting this long ? Is it normal
