    My wife uses this website to logon to work:

    <SNIP>

    I can access from work here so the site isnt down, however my home laptop, a macbook air, wont connect to the site on safari or chrome, just times out.

    Im connected over my own secured wifi, is there something in the settings that could cause this page to not allow me connect?

    Could be a firewall/anti virus program or rule blocking it. Have you checked that?

    EDIT: Could also be a rule on your works network. Have you tried asking your IT about it too? (See if you can set up the same rule on your router at home).

    I'll check the av :)

    Well I work in a different company so I don't think it's a rule issue?

    Just removed the link, as the company may not want it being publicly being mentioned on the net. I'd say Firewall/AV or even OS issue myself. Get her to check with the IT Dept if Macs are supported

    to be fair you need a login password and secure id to get in, i dont think it was a massive risk putting the site up, but no worries

    Ahh I understand, still though many companies wouldn't like such sites being mentioned publicly (It's probably not linked to on their website), even sites which have secure login procedures may have security flaws, better safe than sorry as they say
