    Hi All-
Does anyone know approximately how long the bus would take into Leeson St?

Or does anyone know the best buses from Blackrock to town? All I can find is the 114 and doesn't head to town?

    Thanks!

The best stop is Stop 3084 on Frascati Road, outside the Frascati Centre. From here you can take the number 4 or 7 which bring you to O'Connell Street.

The journey time is about 25-30 minutes.

Neither the 4 0r 7 bus go to town via Leeson St. They go via Ballsbridge, Northumberland Rd,Mount St, Merrion Sq, Westland Row. If you are going to the Stephen's Green end of it, your best bet would be to get off at Merrrion Sq, walk up past Govt Bldgs to Baggot St, turn left at Stephens Green and then on to Leeson St. If you are going to the canal end of it, get off the bus on Northumberland Rd, walk up Haddington Rd and Leeson St starts at the Leeson St bridge. Your looking at a 10 minute walk either way.

If you are travelling in the morning peak, there are two trips on the 46E that go from Blackrock via Leeson Street to the city centre.

Otherwise it's the 4 or 7 to Merrion Square or Clare Street.

The former routes 6 and 6A also did not travel via Leeson Street. They went via Booterstown, Ballsbridge and Merrion Square.

OP, another option would be getting the DART from Blackrock to Pearse Station. Walk up Westland Row to Merrion Sq and you are right where the bus would drop you off if you took the bus. Then walk to Leeson St from there.

The 7B might be an option too, it goes from Shankill through the new road between Newtownpark Ave. and Carysfort and joins the N11 at Stillorgan. Only runs at peak times but it's reliable. Takes 30 minutes or so in the morning to get from Carysfort to Leeson st.

The ''new'' road has been there for up to 2 years now. It is called the Monkstown Link Road.
