Breaking in New Runners!

Just wondering what the general consensus is for wearing new runners for a race. I got a pair of Saucony Kinvara 3's the other day and wore them for the first time on Monday. I ran 6 miles on Monday pushing the pace a bit and they felt great. I hadn't realised how worn my Kinvara 2's were until I tried on the new ones. The old ones have about 350miles on them and I was planning on wearing those for the Cork Half marathon next Monday but now I'm itching to wear the new ones having tried them. I'll be going for a couple of easy 3 miles runs later this week so I'm wondering if 6 + 3 + 3 are enough miles to consider wearing these for the race??

    Tanx in Advance.:D

I don't see an issue in wearing the new ones if you have already run in them and had no problems.

That's perfectly fine. You can use the new ones as long as they don't give you any trouble on your training runs.

    Thanks TFB,
Best of luck with the pacing job.
