Repairs in Dublin city centre

Gear cable snapped yesterday, and I'm in the middle of moving house - don't really have the time to fix it myself. Where's the best place for an express repair job? Still hoping I can race the inter-club league tomorrow, if I'm not shifting boxes.

I tried consulting the wiki, but apparently it's dead. Cycleways? Cyclelogical?

Little sport or City Cycles in Fairview. Close to you presuming that was you I saw spinning down Amiens Street from the IFSC yesterday, on a red bike?

Cyclelogical is gone. You could try Cyclebike down by Jervis?

I'm always plugging P&K cycles on Boards, as I always get great service there (I have no shares in the place :)).

    They're opposite St Pat's cathedral.

That is close to me, but I'm not sure if that's me you saw... was this at lunchtime, on a bike that is more purple than red? :)

Just back from dropping a wheel off for some TLC at the Bee cave actually. Might not be city centre enough for you though?

Guy in Cycleways sorted me on the spot, happy days. Must bookmark this thread for future reference though. Or is there somewhere more appropriate to store recommended bike shops? One of the stickies?

    Good idea actually

I would have recommended McDonald's on Wexford Street, but I was a bit late ;)

    I'd guess such a thread would have a 100% probability of resulting in bitching/libel actions/thread lock. :D

This is true... perhaps just a handy guide with location, opening hours, whether they do repairs, etc. Such a thing probably exists online already, somewhere in the tubes.
