    Hi folks.

Parents got UPC BB installed recently. Great, except, we need the router upstairs in the box room and it's down in the sitting room. How easy / difficult is it to move the router upstairs and presumably, the cable too? Can you extend the cable as it is ?

Yup, you can extend the cable. Get a F-Type coupler, F-Type connectors and good quality coaxial cable. Lots of guides on how to correctly install f-type connectors. Lots of types out there from screw on (not great but cheap, no tools needed) to crimp on connectors (good quality but you need a crimp tool also)
