Wheels- replace or upgrade

So while i was out today my rear wheel decided life wasn't worth living, popped a spoke and cracked the rim :(

Now the wheel is a fairly cheap wheel (Easton EA30- below the lowest model Easton sell!) but it never-the-less leaves me without a rear wheel so i have to decide. Do I buy another cheap wheel(new or second hand) or just bit the bullet and upgrade to something like Fulcrum Racing zeros or Mavic Kysirium SLs (front and rear)

I do race, albeit A4, and get a fair few miles per week in(~18 hours) so i like to think i'm committed enough to invest in better equipment but at the same time I originally wanted to wait a year before making any major upgrades...

    so any thoughts/opinions?
    Patrick

I've just bought a pair of SLs (Bike-components.de for a great price). Which leaves me with an unwanted set of Aksiums-you're more than welcome to them if you decide not to splash out on expensive gear. They are campagnolo however....

Ever heard of a thing called work ? This might help you pay for wheels, or am I being too retro ?

Now I know why I am struggling to compete in a4 races, I'm up against lads who are putting in 18 hours, on a good week I'm lucky to get 8 hrs in!!!!!
