Hi I was married to a Ukranian girl about 5 years ago for a year she moved back to ukraine. And I filed for divorce there and received it very quick. Since then I have moved on and have a new partner and a baby girl, we wanted to get married in a civil ceremony and I went to the registar. They gave me this certificate to be filled. I filled it out and sent it to a friend in Ukraine to have it stamped by the court there but no one would fill it 'nobody will fill it in and sign it here, because Ukraine is not a member of the Convention under which this document is ratified' I have googled and nothing shows up at all. Can any one advise me?

    thanks

Perhaps contact the Ukrainian embassy, and ask them. It could be that they won't stamp it as they can't witness you completing the form? or perhaps it is for legal reasons, but the embassy's consular section should be able to advise
