how to password protect a cd

    i want to send somebody a cd with a few wav files on it...how do i password protect this cd?any free software to use?

    Why not rar it then you can add a password.
    Winrar or 7Zip are popular.

    The best thing to do would be encypt the files. For basic protection you could use winzip to make a password protected archive and then burn that onto the CD.

    I do stress that it is only basic protection. It will stump a 'normal' computer user, but anyone skilled in these matters, who wants to open the files will be able to.

    For decent encryption, I'd recommend truecrypt
