    It is approx 8inches long by 6 across, I found it in an old derelict house/yard that is over grown with laurels etc.I have made lots of enquires about this stone but cannot find out anything about it.

    It looks like part of a mill to me - for grinding corn. Think of a giant-sized pestel and mortar; the stone looks to me like it could have been the pestel part. Once the stone wears down the holes get chiselled out again to aid in the grinding operation.
