TV show with space travel, junk yard dealer, fire extinguishers

    Anyone remember the title of a shortly lived TV show
    about some scrap yard dealer/inventor/salvager that had a plan to try and reach space to obtain gold from satallite junk etc.

    He built some machine/spaceship that went slowly rather than as fast as a rocket to escape earths gravity. And I think there was a scene where a fire extinguisher was used to control the flight path of someone or something.
