My trusty laptop is now suffering from old age and I'm due to begin a new course soon enough so a new computer is needed. The thing is its been so long that I really have no clue where to get the best offers (which, as a student, I very much need).

I was wondering then what sites or stores people might recommend to get the highest spec for best value? Is Dell still a good bet? Or Komplett maybe?

I really need this one to last a good few years like my last one so I need to do my research now.

    Cheers all

    What is your max budget?

You could try all the main players like PC World, Argos, Amazon, Komplett. Any of these guys are offer good deals at the moment.

You should be able to get 3 years plus out of a new laptop with little problems if its taken care of. Dell in my opinion has fallen from grace a little in recent years, the quality is just not in them like it used to be. Just check the sites and find something your liking and then Google it for reviews and that will give you a good idea

hmm. I've been looking in the 5-600 range. Some good stuff on Komplett for that but I really want to get the most for money as possible. I could go over 600 if necessary.
