not receiving all channels paid

    Does anybody know i do not receive all the channels that i am paying UPC for? I have the Digital Select + package yet it tells me that i am not subscribed to the FX channel. There may be others i am missing as well but i noticed this one because it shows NCIS a lot. the UPC webchat were not very helpful and just told me that it was not available in my area. They couldnt even tell me what other channels i am not receiving and that i would have to check each channel individually. a bit useless really. Why would availability of channels depend on area? I live in donaghmede. its not exactly the wilds of connemara.

    I live in Connemara, love that channel.

    Only messing, Are you receiving UPC through Cable or via MMDS from roof? Could be the delivery method, the MMDS had less channels if I remember correctly.

    Its coming through cable. I can get their 100Mb broadband service yet i cannot get the FX channel. its all very strange.

    FX - Channel 126 is on the Max Pack http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_channels_on_UPC_Ireland#Entertainment_-_100s

    Hence why u can't watch it

    FX should be on the Select + Extra pack as well.

    Best advice I can give is to pick up the phone (not webchat) and ask them why youre not getting the channel. It might not be available in your area for some reason (which has been known to happen) or it may just be a cock up at their end (which has also been known to happen!).

    I have phone broadband and tv services from UPC. The tv is still MMDS and there are a lot of stations that i cant recieve. I contacted them and the fewer channels is reflected in the price. I was a bit p*ssed off about this as it was not made clear to me at the start. But overall im happy and the bundle is still value for money.

    same thing happening to me, I'm on select extra+ but I'm not getting the FX channel or MGM channel either...according to the UPC site their available to select extra+ customers

    I rang upc this morning & they readded the MGM channel for me, but I noticed that FX has been removed from the list of channels available for select extra+ very sly!!

    It doesn't have it listed on this page?. Digital select extra tv isn't entitled to it unfortunately just like ESPN Classic. Thats just for the digital max tv pack and not digital select extra.

    Just read your edited part but as far as im concerned it was never there. I know because im digital select extra and i wanted it for the UFC and tried to finagle it but its icon was never listed in anything but the max.

    What edited part are you referring to? i havent edited a single post on this thread.

    I have no idea if ESPN classic was ever listed as part of the Select + package but FX most definitely was listed up until yesterday when i posted that link. Your opinion that it was never included is irrelevant. It most definitely was listed as being included.

    I was always of the impression that FX is only on the Max pack but it was definately on their website yesterday on the Select + pack. I can only guess it was an error on their part which they corrected in a hurry hoping noone would notice...

    I meant your follow up post. I didnt say ESPN Classic was part of the Select+ i said it was part of Max just as FX always was. If it was on yesterday or for a day or so it was just an error but ive been checking on the status of FX for months so and it was never on Select+ over all that time.
