Topcat always reminded me of the cartoon equivilant of Sgt. Bilko with Phil Silvers.

The Original Cartoon I remember him been called TC Topcat
and never liked when the BBC re-named it Boss cat.

As a kid I went mad looking for one of the money on a string devices
that is seen on the opening titles and was delighted when I got one from the magic shop.

Everything else has been remade, why not TC, I'm looking forward to seeing it, my kids are too old now so i'll have to borrow the Brother's little one's.

It looks good, the animation is faithful to the original.

If nothing else, it will probably mean BBC2 slip in some more viewings of the original show during the Summer.

You can't beat the original (which was the boss and the pip, and the championship ...) but it's nice that the kids will get to see some classic old school cartoons reworked.

Did a wiki on Top Cat to check the voice artists -- can't believe there were only ever 30 episodes!! We must have seen the same ones over and over but didn't remember!!

Don't like the animation at all, too slick and computery looking. I much prefer the old fashioned Hanna-Barbera look.
