I have a micro usb bluetooth adapter for this laptop. It did not come with a disk. When i plugged it in first it worked, must be plug and play. But now when I plug it in it ask for drivers. I search for drivers and it says the best ones are installed. I can pair with my phone but cannot transfer files.

Device manager says bluetooth adapter is working properly

What version of Windows are you using, what phone is it, and have you tried using the phones specific software to copy the files?

The same thing happened to me before.

You'll need to download the nokia suite and it'll pair and transfer files that way.

Be sure that you have the bluetooth adapter in and paired when installing as the suite will pick it up.

Bluetooth peripheral devce is the only one failing to install. If any one can help with that would appreciate it.

Thanks for the link but I prefer not to have the nokia suite but just to connect phone to pc as did before

    What make/model is the adapter?

Have you tried searching online for drivers?

Did you install anything since using the bluetooth adapter that would make it break?

I think a windows update is blocking the driver from installing. It works ok on my old xp which has not been updated in months
