Purchase laptop in Oz or Eire?

I need to get a new laptop, nothing fancy, as long as it has built in webcam and speakers, not to worried bout gb as can save on usbs. Should i get one at home or would i get a similar price for one in Oz, thus saving me lugging it half way across the world. Any retailer suggestions etc appreciated. Thanks.:)

Buy one here. It can be a pain in the arse to get a new charger to fit the plug sockets and they're well priced imo.

Saves the weight in your bag as well if you don't actually need it for the way over.
