Well lads, things aren't lookn too good for the turbo in my tdi golf,i was ready to pay big money for a new turbo or get it reconditioned when i came across one of many of the same ads plastered all over donedeal.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/carextras/2871583

The price tbh is a bit too good to be true for a "Genuine Garret turbo"and are ironically priced almost exactly the same and give the same 1 year warranty as the knock off ones on ebay.

Does any one have any experience with this crowd and are the turbos genuine?

Oh yeah,i'll mension this real quick,i need a new steering rack and two new front struts. My mechanic has a petrol golf out the back and he said he'd give them to me free of charge but he doesn't know if they'll work for a diesel car (mine's a gt tdi) because of the extra weight of the engine, any one have any ideas?

Cheap for a reason I'd say. Some very convincing counterfeit products coming from China these days, not saying they are but just something to be aware of.

Reliable FULLY manufectorey ar brand new Turbochargers.

Now that would immediately ring alarm bells. Surely if you have a product to advertise, you will make sure that your spelling is spot on, either by spellcheck (carries it's own pitfalls) or ask a friend who actually speaks the language.
This would tell me that the same care has gone into manufacturing and quality control of these turbos.
No thanks, I don't have enough money to be wasting on cheap turbos, when it blows up and suddenly you are struggling to find the baxtid that sold it to you and you need to buy a turbo from a reputable place, it won't be so cheap anymore.
I don't think I would accept one as a gift, since it might blow up and take the engine with it or at least force me to take everything apart twice.

Nah i'd say i'd be better off getting mine reconditioned, you'd never know what kind of a one you could end up with out of a breakers yard, could be good could be bad there's no guarantee.I recon the veins are sticking in mine, any ideas how much i'd be lookn at to get it reconditioned??
