Differences between contact lens brands

    Hi,

I'm currently using focus dailies toric lenses. I find they tend to dry out a bit after a few hours and get a bit uncomfortable even if i use eye drops. Anyone use other brands/types of toric 1-day lenses? I see the acuvue moist 1-day torics are bit more expensive but are they any better? Also my prescription is -2.25 axis 90 degrees and cylinder -1.50. I notice that the acuvue are only available with a cylinder of -.75,-1.25,-1.75,-2.00. Should I go for the -1.25 or -1.75, and will either affect my eyesight correction to a large degree?

The Johnson & Johson 1 day acuvue moist for Astigmatism is a much better lens than the focus torics as they are made from a different material.

You have to get a contact lens check up once a year and usually this covers you for trials of different lenses, so ask you optician if they will give you trials of the 1 day acuvue moist for Astigmatism and you can try the different prescriptions before you buy a supply

Talk to your optician about what to do to get rid of the dry eyes. It might involve drinking more water, or taking omega-3 oil, or using an eye bag or all of the above.

Clariti Torics by Sauflon are made out of a similar material to Acuvue Tru Eye , considered to be the Rolls royce of dailies , but without the Rolls Royce pricetag . Plus they have really high oxygen permeability which is good for eye health .
You should ask your optometrist to let you try those out .
