    hi,

I have two questions about listening to podcasts on my Samsung Galaxy S2, when I listen to a podcast from say RTE Radio, is this coming via the internet & using data -should i be down loading them & listening to them from the phone itself when I am not using wifi and how best to do this.

Does any one have any recommendations for a docking station to use with Samsung Galaxy S2. At the moment i am listening to stuff with my earphones.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you are streaming it from the RTE website thn yes, you are using your data. I use an app called 'Pocketcast', it a paid app, very cheap and well worth it. You can download as many podcasts you like when your home on wifi and listen to them on the go without using your data. Pocketcast does give a fairly iPhone like experience, which Apple in fairness has nailed.

Which regards docks, I have Philips in my bedroom, fantastic sound, looks great and charges my phone. Its a bluetooth speaker so the phone doesn't actually have to be docked to use the speaker. I use this for both my phone and tablet. The Amazon pictures linked doesnt show the Philips off very well, it has a really soft tone glow at the bottom, looks great at night

I use Monster Clarity HD as my on the go speaker for hotel rooms, the bathroom and sitting out in the garden. It's tiny, looks really well and sound out of it is incredible, better than the philips links above and its half the size.

And finally, I still use my old X Mini II as a back up and in places like the beach where sand could damage my good speaker. The size of a mandrine and decent sound, certaintly punches above it weight when you concider the size of the little thing.
