I'm flying from Cork to Heathrow to SF, and will take advantage of the (new?) transfer bus service at Heathrow airport, but does anyone know if I go through security again at Heathrow? I want to get some duty free, but don't want to have to chuck it if I buy it in Cork and can't get it through security?

Yes you will go through security again but you can buy duty free in Cork. They should put it in a sealed plastic bag with the receipt visible so security in LHR can see that it was purchased that day.

Tks for that, now just have to figure out if a bottle of Black Bush will be cheaper in Cork or in Heathrow.
