Applying for Job Bridge but only signing on for credits?

Does anybody know if this can be done? Signed on for credits a few months back but I'm now resorting to looking at some of the Job Bridge options open to me. But I'm not sure if I'm eligible for this (I was claiming before signing for credits if that helps).

Also, is it possible to ask a particular company to create a position under this scheme? As in, could I suggest this to them or would this seem a bit strange?

    Thanks.

Yes, signing for credits for the required time will qualify you for Jobbridge.

To be eligible for a place as an intern you must have a live claim and be currently in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance/ Jobseekers Benefit/ One Parent Family Payment/ Disability Allowance or signing for Social Insurance Contribution Credits for 3 months (78 days) or more in the last 6 months. http://www.jobbridge.ie/InternEligible.aspx

No problem with asking companies to be part of the scheme. Give prospective host organization the link so that they can check if they qualify to be join it and give you internship. http://www.jobbridge.ie/

    Thanks Balagan.

So at the moment I'm receiving €0 because I'm signing for credits. If I get accepted into a Job Bridge role will that mean that I will just get €50 p/w?

I'll look into asking companies too, thanks. I see that they've changed the criteria (or will be changing it from tomorrow onwards).

Yes, you would get just the €50. Best of luck with it. If you get an internship, make you get the promised training from the get-go.
